Kamyar Shahedi, MD
A native of Los Angeles, Dr. Shahedi completed his undergraduate studies at UCLA before attending the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine, graduating at the top of his class. He returned to Los Angeles where he completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at UCLA. He served as Associate Instructor of Medicine at Olive View UCLA where he taught medical students and residents for a brief period before moving on to complete his specialty training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of California, Davis Health System. Here, Dr. Shahedi also completed advanced training with distinguished world-renown faculty in advanced Therapeutic Endoscopic Interventions and Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography and pancreaticobiliary diseases.
In addition to the rigors of medical practice, Dr. Shahedi is involved in research and has presented his research at national conferences and has authored numerous publications in distinguished peer-reviewed medical journals including the American Journal of Gastroenterology and Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology, well as online guidelines that are referred to by other physicians as well as patients. He is an active member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the American Gastroenterological Association.
On his personal time, Dr. Shahedi spends time with projects that bridge technology and healthcare and seek to improve healthcare outcomes, traveling with his wife, playing music and piano, photography, and giving back to the community through volunteer work.
