A recent study done in Israel indicates that drinking your morning cup, or cups, of coffee may help prevent colon cancer. The study looked at 8500 people, of those 3500 did not have any history of colorectal cancers, the remaining 5000 had been diagnosed with colon cancer.
The researchers looked at the coffee drinking habits of the entire group and found that those participants who drank two cups of coffee in the morning were 30% less likely to have had colorectal cancer than the non coffee drinkers. This study adds to the mounting evidence that dietary habits can profoundly effect your risk of developing gastrointestinal cancers.
